Soil Net Polymers to stabilize swales and canals are available as a dry mix of polymers and inorganic salts, or a mixture of polymer and oil and emulsion. When used according to directions, they significantly reduce soil erosion in swales and canals due to the soil binding properties of the polymer and the coagulant agents in the mix.
Soil Net Polymers to stabilize swales and canals also flocculate suspended soil particles in the runoff water, thus increasing sediment deposition in the canal and swales.
Soil Net Polymers to stabilize swales and canals promote the fine soil particles to drop to the bottom of the swales and canals, preventing erosion in the swales, promoting stabilization and preventing seed and mulch loss. The application is influenced by the steepness of the swales and side slopes. It is recommended that the swales be covered with the application to ensure soil stability and seed growth. Soil Net Polymers to stabilize swales and canals are recommended for use with dry mix at 70 lbs per acre of swales. The mix of polymer and oil or emulsion is recommended at 4 to 8 gallons per treated acre and can be applied in a broadcast application, either diluted with water or by itself. |
